The Advocate, Meeting minutes of the EBRP Communications District Board of Commissioners Special Meeting. The EBRP Communications District Board of Commissioners met at the EBRSO Headquarters Building at 1:00pm, on this the 25th day of June, 2015, in regular session The meeting was called to order by Co-chairman Chad Guillot and the following members were present: Present: Bob Whitaker (Proxy), Mayor Harold Rideau, Chief Ed Smith, Chief Carl Dabadie, Chad, Guillot, Mark Richards and Sheriff Sid Gautreaux Absent: None. Pledge of Allegiance led by Chief Carl Dabadie. Adoption of Minutes: A motion was made by Mark Richards and seconded by Bob Whitaker that the Special EBRP Communications Board of Commissioners meeting minutes of June 25, 2015 be adopted. Seeing no opposition, motion was adopted. Presentations: L.R. Kimball presented an overview of their CAD Consultant proposal and it was followed with a question/answer session. Winbourne presented an overview of their CAD Consultant proposal and it was followed with a question/answer session. Deltawrx presented an overview of their CAD Consultant proposal and it was followed with a question/answer session. A motion was made by Chief Carl Dabadie and seconded by Mark Richards for Matt Hobson to work with purchasing on pricing negotiations with L.R. Kimball and DELTAWRX and report back to the board at the next meeting. Seeing no opposition, motion was adopted. Administrative Matters: Matt Hobson introduced Attorney Henry Olinde to the Board of Commissioners. Chad Guillot discussed that the approval of the expenditure of the money would have to be approved by the Council. Also, would have to do a supplement from the Communications District board funds to pay for the services. It was previously discussed setting up $10000 initially to pay for services of the attorney. Anything that exceeds that amount would have to go back to Council. A resolution was introduced by Chad Guillot. Resolution 15-001 Authorizing the Board of Commissioners of East Baton Rouge Communications District to engage Olinde & Mercer, LLC as special legal counsel to provide necessary legal services on an as-needed basis. A motion was made by Mayor Rideau and seconded by Chief Ed Smith to put the resolution before council and to submit the budget supplement. Seeing no opposition, motion is adopted. Seeing no public comment or further business, a motion was made by Chief Carl Dabadie and seconded by Chief Ed Smith.
