Approval of Previous Meeting Minutes (03/10/2015) Motion made by Mayor Rideau and seconded by Chief Dabadie. Motion passed. Old business Randall Dunaway spoke about the motion made 4 months ago to remove the Communications District from under the EMS Administrator and report directly to the council. Motion made by Randal Dunaway (on behalf of City of Baker) to remove city parish from over the Communications District Board and report straight to the Council. Seconded by Mayor Amrhein. Roll call Vote: City of Baker yes City of Zachary yes EBRSO no State Police no BRFD no BRPD no EMS no Motion Fails. Receiving a copy of the letter cancelling the original CAD RFP Matt Hobson stated he had not received the letter advising the vendors that the RFP had been cancelled. Was a protest ever filed with any agency of City-Parish government? Matt Hobson stated he had no knowledge of any nor had he received anything. Chad Guillot said that it was something brought to the Mayors Office in regards to the purchasing process not against the Board. Mayors Office is looking in to it. Status update on the RFQ for a CAD consultant Matt Hobson Went out on March 20th, responses are expected back on May 1st. Deadline for questions is tomorrow. (April 8th) Status update on the RFP for the Hooper Road Tower Site repairs Matt Hobson Motorola quote was submitted to Purchasing. Purchasing decided because of the scope of work that it needed to go out for bid. An RFP was written and the bids have come back last week. Ranges from $26000 to $44000. Status update on Text-to-911 Tammy Armand we are text ready as far as equipment side. Working with our vendor, will continue testing tomorrow after software upgrade is done. Once testing is completed we will contact the carriers and become carrier ready. Equipment side testing will be completed before we ever move forward. New business Re-programming of radios for public safety 800 MHz back-up system Tammy Armand Radio shop will retouch every radio in the parish. To upgrade to the new 800 P25 radio system. Matt Hobson explained the purpose of this system and if ever needed the Parish could return to this system as a primary. New radios purchases for 2015 and beyond Matt Hobson would like agencies to come through the Radio Shop to make purchases of new radios. SIEC meeting on April 22, 2015 at 1:30 p.m., State Police HQ Matt Hobson Discussed the LWIN upgrade and potential costs associated with it.
