The Advocate, NOTICE OF ADVERTISEMENT FOR LEASE CENTRAL COMMUNITY SCHOOL SYSTEM 10510 JOOR ROAD, SUITE 300 BATON ROUGE, LA 70818 By virtue of and in conformity with the provisions of La. R.S. 41:1211, et seq., sealed bids will be accepted by the Central Community School System (CCSS) on or before the 22nd day of September, 2015, at 10:00 o'clock a.m., for the lease, renovation, and operation of certain property in East Baton Rouge Parish, to-wit: A certain portion of a tract of land, located on Sullivan Road and owned by the CCSS, which currently houses the facility generally known in the community as the Old Girls Gym, as more fully depicted in plats on file at the Central Community School Systems central office. NOTE: Copies of the Lease and Use Agreement, Bid Proposal Form, and Instructions to Bidders are available at the CCSSs central office. The Lease Agreement imposes various conditions and obligations upon the prospective lessee. Any prospective lessee is strongly encouraged to review the terms and conditions of the Lease and Use Agreement prior to submitting a bid. NOTE: The Old Girls Gym is in need of substantial repairs. The Lease and Use Agreement requires the successful leasee to fully renovate and restore the Gym to a condition that is suitable for public purposes. Once restored, Lessee shall be required to maintain and operate the Gym solely for cultural, educational, artistic, or historical purposes, as approved by the governing board of the CCSS and as further delineated in the Lease and Use Agreement. All bids must be forwarded by United States Mail to the CCSS at Post Office Box 78094, Baton Rouge, Louisiana, 70837 or delivered to 10510 Joor Road, Suite 300, Baton Rouge, LA 70818. Each bid must be accompanied by a bid deposit in the form of a certified check or money order, payable to the Central Community School System in an amount equal to ten percent of the annual bid amount or seventy-five (75) dollars, whichever is greater. The words BID-Old Girls GYM and the date and time the bids are to be opened shall be written on the outside of the envelope containing the bid so that it will not be opened with the regular mail. The awarding of this lease will be based on the highest annual rent to be paid to CCSS. THE RIGHT TO REJECT ANY AND ALL BIDS IS RESERVED. THE SUCCESSFUL BIDDER MUST PAY ALL ADVERTISING CHARGES.
