The Advocate, WEST FELICIANA PARISH ORDINANCE NO. 2015 AUGUST 10 3 AN ORDINANCE TO LEVY TAXES UPON ALL TAXABLE PROPERTY ON THE OFFICIAL ASSESSMENT ROLL FOR THE YEAR 2015 AND TO PROVIDE FURTHER WITH RESPECT THERETO. The West Feliciana Parish Council hereby ordains, in a public meeting/hearing held on August 10, 2015 which meeting/hearing was conducted in accordance with the Open Meetings Law and the additional requirement of Article VII, Section 23(C) of the Louisiana Constitution and R.S. 47:1705(B), that the following rates be and is hereby levied upon all taxable property shown on the official assessment roll for the year 2015, and when collected, the revenue from said taxes shall be used for the specific purpose for which said taxes have been levied. Said millage rates are: MILLAGE General Alimony 3.57 mills Hospital 2.00 mills Health Services 1.50 mills Roads, Bridges (Improvement Fund) 8.89 mills Social Service .10 mills Economic Development 1.00 mills Library Bond 1.15 mills Library 1.50 mills BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that the Assessor of the Parish of West Feliciana, shall extend upon the assessment roll for the year 2015 the taxes herein levied, and that the Tax Collector for the Parish of West Feliciana, Louisiana, is hereby authorized to collect taxes in accordance with law. This ordinance having been offered by Mel Percy, and seconded by John S. Kean, IV, read in full, the roll was called on the adoption thereof, and the ordinance was adopted by the following votes: YEAS: Ms. Lea Reid Williams, Mel Percy, Melvin Young, Merrick Ricky Lambert, John S. Kean, IV, Heather R. Howle and Otis L. Wilson NAYS: None. ABSTAINED: None.
