The Advocate, OFFICIAL PUBLIC NOTICE OF THE METROPOLITAN COUNCIL OF THE PARISH OF EAST BATON ROUGE AND THE CITY OF BATON ROUGE Notice is hereby given to all citizens of the City of Baton Rouge, Parish of East Baton Rouge and to all other interested persons, of the introduction at the regular meeting of the Metropolitan Council of the City of Baton Rouge and Parish of East Baton Rouge, held on August 12, 2015 of the proposed resolutions/ordinances, the titles of which are set forth hereinafter, and that public hearing will be held thereon by the Metropolitan Council at 4:00 P.M., Wednesday, September 9, 2015, in the Council Chambers (Room 348) on the third floor of the City-Parish Governmental Building in this City, these proposed resolutions/ ordinances being entitled as follows: ORDINANCE The Metropolitan Council of City of Baton Rouge and Parish of East Baton Rouge herby gives notice that an ordinance proposing removal of certain property from Industrial Area No. 1 of the Parish of East Baton Rouge and adding said property to the City of Baton Rouge by petition of the property owner as set forth in Sections 1.08 and 1.09 of the Plan of Government of the City of Baton Rouge and Parish of East Baton Rouge will be heard at a public hearing at the Council meeting on September 9, 2015 at 4:00 in the Council Chambers on the third floor of City Hall. The proposed ordinance would provide for the retraction of the limits of Industrial Area No. 1 and the extension of the City limits of the City of Baton Rouge and the inclusion of all of the area described as follows: a certain Tract of Parcel of land situated in that subdivision known as Monte Sano Highland Farms designated as Tract A-2 being located in Section 37, T6S-R1W, G.L.D., East Baton Rouge Parish, Louisiana, being more particularly described as follows: Beginning at a point being the northeastern corner of Tract A-2 and also the point of intersection of the western Right of Way line of Scenic Highway (U.S. Highway 61) and the southern Right of Way line of Shada Avenue with said point also being the Point of Commencement; proceed S17/38'27"E a distance of 67.53 feet to a point and turn; thence S14/19'53"E a distance of 161.30 feet to a point and turn; thence S81/32'47"W a distance of 319.61 feet to a point and turn; thence N08/27'13"W a distance of 227.12 feet to a point and turn; thence N81/32'47"E a distance of 292.31 feet to a point and turn; From Point of Beginning; containing 1.60 acres or 69803.79 square feet more or less. 5163902-aug 18-25-2t - PUBLIC NOTICES/COUNCIL/ADMIN
