The Advocate, RE-ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS WEST FELICIANA PARISH OCD/DR Project No. 63 PARA 3404- HARDWOOD-SOLITUDE- TURNER DRAINAGE PROJECT WEST FELICIANA PARISH GOVERNMENT (herein referred to as the "Owner") hereby solicits for the Parish of West Feliciana -Community Development Block Grant- Disaster Recovery Project to be financed by the State of Louisiana, Hurricane Gustav/Ike CDBG - Disaster Recovery Program -Parish Project No. 63 PARA 3404; described as follows: Improvements include the purchase and installation of drainage improvements in the Turner Subdivision, Hardwood Subdivision, and Solitude Road (from Dove Road to Greenwood/Heir/ Galalee). During Hurricane Gustav, this area of the Parish experienced significant flooding. Proposals shall be address to the WEST FELICIANA PARISH GOVERNMENT, and delivered to the Parish Government Office located at 5934 Commerce Street, St. Francisville, LA 70775 not later than 10 AM, on Thursday, September 3, 2015. Any bid received after the specified time and date will not be considered. The sealed bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at 10 AM in the Conference Room at the West Feliciana Parish Government Office located at 5934 Commerce Street, St. Francisville, Louisiana 70775. A voluntary pre-bid meeting will be held Thursday, August 27, 2015 at 10:00 A.M. at the above mentioned address. The Information for Bidders, Bid Form, Form of Contract, Plans, Specifications, and Forms of Bid Bond, Performance Bond and Payment Bond, and other contract documents may be examined at the offices of Quality Engineering & Surveying, LLC located at 18350 Highway 42, Port Vincent, LA 70726. Copies may be obtained at this office upon payment of a deposit of $100.00. This deposit will be refunded upon request in accordance with R.S. 38:2212. Validation of the Contractor's license and classifications will be made prior to release of bid documents. Contractors submitting bids shall be licensed under LA License R.S. 37:2150-2164, Highway, Street and Bridges. Other license classifications may, at the option of the Owner, be considered based upon a thorough review of the Contractor's past experience. The bidder shall show his license number on the bid and on the sealed envelope submitting the bid. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids for just cause; such actions will be in accordance with Title 38 of the Louisiana Revised Statutes. In accordance with R.S. 38:2212 (A)(l)(b), the provisions and requirements stated in the Advertisement for Bids and those required on the Bid Form shall not be considered as informalities and shall not be waived. Each Bidder must deposit with his/her bid, security in the amount of at least five percent (5%) of the total bid price, provided on the specified form and subject to the conditions provided in the Information for Bidders. Sureties used for obtaining bonds must appear as acceptable on the U. s. Department of Treasury Circular 570. No bidder may withdraw his/her bid within forty-five (45) days after the actual date of the opening thereof. The Attention of Bidders is called particularly to the requirements for conditions of employment to be observed and minimum wage rates to be paid under the Contract, Section 3, Segregated Facilities, Section 109, Executive Order 11246, and all applicable laws and regulations of the Federal government and State of Louisiana and bonding and insurance requirements.
